Why have i been so heartless?
it seems ive been surviving mainly on ego most of my life, really..
never truly felt anything for anybody.
it was nothingness when my grandma, grandpa, grandma, cats died.
i pet my cats because theyre there.
im nice to people because thats the right thing to do.
i spread my advice and insight because it makes me feel good about myself. and smart.
i hold onto my looks as something good and consistent about me.
im paranoid, self-aware, almost ignorant to reality in a dreamy haze.
from birth i was treated fairly awful i suppose...
so please dont judge, you really dont know.
im 18 now. i know i have to take responsibility.
how can i be real with myself? the world seems so artificial and scary.
Answer: just the fact that you're asking this question, and want to change, means you are not heartless. You said that you've been through some bad times, i'm sure that effects the way you are. I'm not sure how to explain feeling nothing when family members pass away, maybe your mind doesn't know how to perceive certain emotions. You've never had anything or anyone in your life you truly love, that you would die for. Maybe once you find someone like that, and some emotions can come through, they will affect all aspects of your life as well.
you're 18, I assume your in school? Maybe you could talk to a school counselor about it? Because full blown therapy is extremely expensive.

Why is My rabbit eating her fur ?
Help !! I have a netherland dwarf rabbit thats 1and 3 months old , She just have birth a week ago and all is fine until now .
As I was observing , she is eating her fur , like eating and swallowing and I know its dangerous because it could clogged up her system and get sick . She isnt pulling her fur and eating directly from there but instead eating the fur that she made nest for the newborns . Is there anything I could do besides going to a vet?
I havent put the doe and buck out together since she gave birth so I dont think shes pregnant again...
And also she has been sneezing alot today but could the air possibly be the reason because we are currently having hazing . Im really scared that she got snuffles ;/
Please do help thanks !!
Answer: Throw the hair nest away and give her a blanket. Offer her more food. She's gona need a lot of protein because she just gave birth. Offer water, show it to her face. Also if she's sneezing maybe something like the pine bedding is making her allergic. It could also be perfume. I really don't know what you do in your house but the things you do may affect your bunny. Also give her petroleum jelly to help pass the hair through. Petroleum jelly is NOT dangerous for your pet to eat. My ferrets eat it so they can get rid of their hair ball easily. But don't give her too much just give her a pea sized amount of it every other 2 days if she continues to eat the nest hair. That's if she continues to eat it after deciding to throw it away.

How to protect your pets from haze | SNA - Singapore News Asia
Not just human beings but animals as well are feeling the ill effects of the haze in Singapore. In a phone interview with Yahoo! Singapore, Dr Dawn Chong from The ... ... She said it was likely that these pets were affected by the haze because of their clinical histories, as they did not suffer from these symptoms previously and when stayed indoors. She estimated that around 2-3 pets out of 10 brought to the clinic were suffering from haze-related diseases.
Staffie in her last days?
My mums dog (staffie) is 15 years old, shes got one bad eye which always fills with gunk, she walks around crying all the time now she hasnt gone outside all day, she wont take a treat which she loves :) she has arthritis is her back legs and when shes laid down her front legs seem to bow out, could this be her acting like her last days?
Answer: This is just old age creeping in on the old girl.
As a general rule of thumb, a dog who is 7 years or older should be considered middle to senior aged, and a consultation with your vet is in order to determine the best health care maintenance program for your dog as s/he ages. For smaller breed dogs, your vet (in consultation with you) may elect to wait a couple of years before doing any geriatric monitoring.
hings should I expect as my dog ages?
Each dog, like each human, is different. Here are some general things to watch for as a pet ages.
Slowing down - You may notice that you dog slows down some with aging. This isn't always the case, but look for subtle changes in how s/he gets up, lays down, and uses stairs. Is there any hesitation or stiffness? Does a change in the weather (rainy, cold) make it worse?
Arthritis is common in dogs as they age, particularly large breeds. Arthritis can occur in any joint, most commonly the legs, neck and back (spine). There are many different medications available to help ease the discomfort of arthritis -- see your vet if you notice any signs of slowing down in your dog. Another potential cause of slowing down is hypothyroidism, an endocrine disorder common in dogs. This condition is easily diagnosed and treated with proper veterinary care.
Graying around the face, muzzle - One of my dogs went prematurely gray at two years of age, but most dogs commonly show a bit of gray starting at middle age (5-6 years).
Reduced hearing - Is your dog hard to wake up after sleeping or does s/he become startled easily if you approach from behind? Hearing loss or deafness may be a reason for this. There isn't a lot that can be done for age-related hearing loss, but a vet exam should be done first to rule out other medical problems, such as an infection, growth, or foreign body in the ear.
If your dog does experience hearing loss, take care to protect him/her from hazards, such as cars and kids that s/he may not hear (or see). Dogs do learn and adapt well using hand signals to come, stay, sit, and so on. It is a good idea to "cross train" your dog early in life to recognize basic hand signals.
Cloudy or "bluish" eyes - As they age, dog's eyes often show a bluish transparent "haze" in the pupil area. This is a normal effect of aging, and the medical term for this is lenticular sclerosis. Vision does not appear to be affected. This is NOT the same as cataracts. Cataracts are white and opaque. Vision can be affected by cataracts, and your vet needs to be consulted (see "when is it time to see the vet?" below).
Muscle atrophy - Mild loss of muscle mass, especially the hind legs, may be seen with old age. Some muscle atrophy, notably on the head and the belly muscles, can signify diseases such as masticatory myositis and Cushing's Disease. Be sure to have your vet check this out if any muscle loss is noted.

I wont to know why my kittens eyes dilate all?
The time inside and out
Answer: The iris of any living creature's eye is always adjusting for the correct amount of light, not unlike the aperture on a SLR camera lens. Typically when cats see something of interest, their pupils dilate to admit more light and improve acuity on the target object. Kittens tend to be rather high-strung and your kitten may find more things than usual fascinating. As your kitten ages, the hyperactive iris may settle down. If you're concerned about it or it seems to be affecting your kitten's ability to navigate the environment correctly, perhaps you should take your pet to a veterinarian.
BTW, increased pupil size in humans is a good indicator of attraction/love. This is why you hear of people seeing their "true love" through a kind of haze or blur: the pupils are opened up beyond what is necessary to see properly, admitting too much light and causing a burned-out (too bright) or unfocused image.

Thespian Society question?
Im getting inducted into my schools Thespian Society tonight, and the two requirements for joining are that we have to prepare a 10 line Shakespeare monologue and a minute pantomime.
I have the monologue down, but I have no idea what to pantomime.
Suggestions?
Answer: You can pantomime virtually anything. It's just a scene with no dialogue set to music.
Since it's a mono-pantomime, think of all the things that you do by yourself. Try to think outside potty humour, but the daily hygeine routine has frankly been overdone.
Do something that's relatable. For example a pantomime I would do is "new puppy." I would make gestures and movements that at first resemble the absolute joy and super cuteness that comes with getting a puppy and then the responsibility that turmoils that initial cuteness. You could add in characters like the parents and perhaps a neighbors pet that interacts with your pet without having to play any of the other characters. As long as you portray the character realistically enough, there is no need to pummel yourself trying to incorporate multiple characters.
Good luck! And they're just hazing you. Even if it's not a successful performance it's not going to affect your chances of being inducted. I promise. But don't half-a$$ just because I told you that. It's really a fun experience and something you can talk about for years to come.

The Day the Sea Came
For the earth, it was just a twinge. Last Dec. 26, at 7:59 a.m., one part of the planets undersea crust made an abrupt shift beneath another along a 750-mile seam near the island of Sumatra. The tectonic plates had been grating against each other for millenniums, and now the higher of the two was lifted perhaps 60 feet. IS IT ME ... or are todays questions in this category getting more & more nonsensical & ridiculous?
i need to know if I should adjust my meds !
Answer: It's not just you! In fact I'd been wondering myself if anyone else had noticed the spike in absurdity. It really seemed to kick off on Monday, and not just with the questions but with the answers as well... and not limited to the LGBT category either. There have been some lovely answers over in Royalty, for example, and in Physics, Pets, Poetry, etc. Somewhere I read (maybe in Reptiles of Royalty) a Q asking how long it would take a tortoise to huff a can of Scotchgard. lol
And the nonsense goes beyond Yahoo Answers. The comments to some of the Yahoo news stories have been priceless. Last night there was an article about the major flooding in southern Mexico and the comments (although some of them incredibly insensitive and crude) were far more entertaining than anything I could possibly have watched on TV.
I thought maybe there was about to be a full moon, but since there isn't then I guess it's the strange doldrums of late summer affecting everyone like some kind of faint autumnal hallucinogen or something. Not a lot, but just a little. Let's just call it Purple Haze "Lite". lol
It's affecting wildlife also. Heavy rains from tropical storm Hermine moved in last night and tree frogs emerged en masse from the shadows and congregated around the light outside my front door (well, not the front door-front door, but the other front door) and when I walked out 2 of them jumped on my head. Amphibious assault! =P

Vision Problems / Unable to see in the dark, very bad light sensitivity?
Over the past year it seems my vision has deteriorated, my current symptoms are:
Sensitivity to light, I mean real bad, if I sit in a restaurant the light coming in from the windows overpowers my eyes. Also makes night driving VERY hard.
Certain colors are hard to distinguish/see, example, "Pet Smart" sign. "PET" is in red, "SMART" is in blue. While looking at the sign, pet is perfectly clear to me, smart is a complete blur.
My vision has lost its "crispness" Nothing seems vividly clear anymore, just kind of this general haze it seems like, hard to describe.
I have been to several eye doctors, and they all tell me your fine! When I tell them im not, they look at me like im a looney.
Im 24, good shape, work out, dont smoke ... im trying to find a answer and no one is able to give it to me, its very uncomforting. Any idea? Any specialists I could see?
I was thinking about going to see a neurologist, as ive been having stiff neck problems over the past 2 months.
Answer: night blindness could be due to lack of vitamin A. and i do agree with the previous answerer, that it is also an early sign of retinitis pigmentosa.
the light sensitivity can be due to increased astigmatism, as it affects night vision the most and causes the light to scatter in different directions more.
seeing red more clearly than blue or green means that you are short-sighted. but the clarity between red and blue shuld be too much of a difference.
shortsightedness could also explain the decrease in night vision.
i suggest you don't go to an eye doctor, but have your eyesight checked first.

chihuahua eye problem?
My Chihuahua is not even 2 years old yet. I have no idea what happened but a few days ago he wouldnt open his right eye. I thought maybe it was scratched or something, but i looked on google and decided it must be doggy pink eye and i have to wait until tomorrow to take him to the vet and i feel terrible but i dont have the money right now because i just went through a pet cremation and a spendy pet surgery.
Today his eye changed dramatically it looks like it is blind. I dont know what it is and i dont know what caused this. Does anyone have any ideas? Please help. I am emotionally drained i hate seeing my babies hurt in any way. He is not in pain now, and he has it open but it is just so clouded over
Answer: Keep checking, but don't worry too much. A little change in eye color doesn't count. Virtually all dogs are susceptible to a condition called "nuclear sclerosis," where the pupil gradually develops a slightly gray or bluish haze. The good, if slightly bittersweet, news is that this isn't a cataract. It's a normal result of aging and doesn't affect vision. There's no need to treat it or visit the vet.
