Answer: Hi, I am a small and medium enterprise owner too. I have been using Chronos e-Stockcard as my Inventory Software, so far I am pretty satisfied with it. You may give it a try.

Should I pursue a career in as a life insurance sales representative?
A family friend is offering me a position as a life insurance sales rep in a firm that he works at. He will show me the ropes and will help me get a license. Im making 30, 000 a year now and receive medical and dental benefits. The income from the sales job would be strictly commission based. Is it worth the risk?
Answer: Obviously I can not answer this for you. If it were me I would weigh if I like what I was doing now and where I may go with what I am doing now. Factor in how much the average salesperson at this firm is earning, decide if I would even want to do a sales job, figure if I could do a job with no guaranteed income etc etc. There is only one person in this world that can answer for you.... especially since you didn't give us ANYTHING to base an answer on.

I am interested in becoming an insurance salesman in the state of North Carolina. Where do i start looking?
Term life Insurance sales
Answer: Why limit yourself to term? With a diverse world, you need to be able to offer insurance products to fit each family/busines' needs. This gives you an EDGE over your competitors. I also agree with gentleman above--term insurance does not pay high $$$. With so many little term companies popping up--here today, gone tomorrow, be careful and do your research. My #1 advice would be to go with a REPUTABLE company with strong financial strength, excellent claim history, and high ratings from independent agencies like Standard and Poor's, Moody's and Fitch. These companies will not only offer term as part of their product lines but much more. May I suggest New York Life, MetLife, Northwestern Mutual--to name a few.

How will Obama care affect life insurance sales?
I am considering a career with Northwestern Mutual as a financial rep selling life insurance and was wondering what the future of the job looks like under Obamacare, or just in the future in general.
Answer: The future of life insurance sales looks the same as the past: 95% of all newly hired life insurance salespersons fail at it and have to quit because they can't sell enough to make enough money to keep working; only 5% are able to sell enough to make enough money to be able to keep working.

What are the considerations that make a Life Settlement [sale of a term life policy] a reasonable decision?
"Live Settlement" and "Viaticals" have received a lot of bad press, but the LS seems like a good deal to me when you are over 65 and wanting to shift financial resources to long term care risks and not death risks. I can’t find a good balanced discussion of LS as they are usually "sales" promos or obviously anti LS and Viatical materials. If you don’t need the death risk insurance, make sense to me if the policy can be converted into cash. Does anyone know of any balanced sources of information?

What is the pay like in life insurance sales?
In the first 6 months... What is the pay like in life/health insurance sales? Any info about this line of work is helpful.. Would the slowing of the economy affect sales...
Answer: my brother in law was a successful insurance salesman but he had a military retirement to help him through the first years when survival in sales would be difficult. It might take 3 to 5 years to develop a base large enough to earn a decent mid five figure income. Many never reach this level. Depending upon which company you are with they will advance you a regular salary "against commission" which means you must make enough sales to cover your salary or it is "out the door"
Usually you have 1 to 3 years to repay your salary from commissions. I assume you know how insuance commissions work...it is a little complicated but you have to sell to survive and continue to sell to prosper but if successful you can earn a very good living....but the odds are not good especially in the present economy..

Is selling life insurance a lucrative job?
I am tired of all the jobs Ive ever had!!!! I dont have a career and have been asked if Id like to sell life insurance. Its for a good, and well known company and it isnt "cold" selling or telemarketing. Is it worth doing? How annoying are life insurance sales people? (ive never liked them), but people do need it. tell me what you think. Id appreciate it.
Answer: As with most things that are pure sales, it's as lucrative as you make it.
In the end, it's all up to you. Yes, it helps to be good at sales, but there's more to it than that -- you have to have your client's best interest at heart. (And to realize THAT has to be the primary deciding factor for which products you recommend for them, NOT whatever product is offering a production bonus, or may have the higher commissions/residuals.) If you really listen to your clients and really care about trying to help them, you can build a very nice business purely based on referrals -- but that takes time and dedication.
Over the long haul, it can be VERY lucrative, but you have to be prepared to live close to the bone for at least five years while working 80-100 hours a week.

travelling sales rep looking for a motel in Mississauga area?
Im a life long sales rep that has recently taken on new territory in TO. I like to support family owned motel locations rather than the chains. When in Windsor I stay at the Cadillac, in St Catharines at The Capri. Nice family owned, clean, safe, reasonably priced motels .
Mississauga and area has so many to choose from I am looking for some ideas as to motel locations I can check out perhaps on line and then in person on my my next trip.
Any ideas from fellow travellers or natives to the area would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Answer: Well I live in Mississauga, close to the City Centre...
Not a whole lot of family-owned motels come to mind; I know there are a couple chain motels/hotels around here, such as Holiday Inns, Novotel, etc.
However, there is an Avenue Motel here which I havent been to myself, but have heard some good things about. I dont believe it is a franchise/chain, so that might be worth checking out.
There is also a Fort York motel, which I believe is not a chain, but I've heard some bad things about there and doesnt seem like it's a great place to stay.
Oh, there is a Monte Carlo Inn as well, which is a little chain in the Toronto area. I've heard it's a clean and friendly place; pretty cheap.
There are probably a few more, but they arent coming to mind. However, it's probably best if you go around Dundas Street; I'm fairly sure that the 3 motels I mentioned above are all on Dundas and all fairly nearby... and there a couple more in that area as well.
Good luck! ...and hope you enjoy your stay... it's a great city.

Any life insurance sales agents out there who are selling in this economy?
I was wondering how well agents are doing w/sales with our economy? Thanks.
Answer: I sell life insurance and think the struggles experienced during the current economic climate are making people more aware of how bad things could be if income was taken away forever. I seem to have more people interested in policies. I would say people are being a little more conservative with premiums, so although they're buying, not as much is being spent per client than in the past.

Is there more opportunity in life insurance sales or as a real estate agent?
I am wondering what is more lucrative life-insurance sales or real estate. I have a passion for both of them I am just wondering what is the most lucrative and what offers the biggest opportunity to become a millionaire in. I have been offered a position at mass mutual. I have a big interest in investing and stocks. They sell mostly insurance products. But you can also get your series 6 and 7 and sell securites. What is the biggest earning potential, life insurance sales, or working as a real estate agent.
Any guidance would be great. Im on a road trip so If there are typos my apologys.
Answer: I am currently a life insurance agent; however, I was once a real estate agent. There really is no way to gauge which one will make you more money. But consider this: Life insurance policies are easier to sell than real estate because you don't have to have good credit to buy life insurance. You also don't have to pay off debts before buying a policy. On the flip side, the commission checks for real estate are usually larger because there is more work involved in selling a house. If you are a good salesman, it really doesn't matter what product you sell as long as you love the product yourself. Lastly, in the time it takes to sell one house, you could have sold 50 life insurance policies. But if you are passionate in both areas, don't forget that you can be licensed in both insurance and real estate. It would be a lot of work, but you would have an edge over most of the competition. Just food for thought.
